We are now stopped for two weeks in Pensacola Florida. The main reason we are here is to get our residency set up. We use Good Sam mail forwarding which is here so this is where we will get our driving licenses and vehicle plates. We are staying at the Blue Angel Recreation Area and have a wonderful water view out the front of Serenity. Too bad our big picture window is in the back. Oh well I will have a nice view when I wake up each morning.
It was such an easy drive here from Charleston down I-95 to I-10 then straight west. We stopped for an overnight at our friendly Walmart and had a great nights sleep.
We got here about noon and set up without any problems. The rest of the day is just sitting around enjoying the sunny warm weather. Tomorrow we head into town to pick up our mail and start dealing with government agencies. I just hope all goes smoothly.

You didn't need to go to Pensacola to get drivers license and tags. You could get them anywhere in Florida, even if your mail service is Pensacola. Our mail service is in Crestview (panhandle) and we got our tags and drivers licenses near Tampa. If you find a smaller city nearby, you might find a shorter wait. We got ours in the small town of Dade City which was much quicker than Tampa.
